Nathan Sawaya’s latest LEGO abstract
Nathan Sawaya, one of the best known LEGO Certified Professionals in the world, has unveiled his latest LEGO artistic creation, which he calls “Circle Triangle Square.” The six-foot tall piece features three life-sized figures with the common geometric shapes referred to in the title, where their heads would otherwise be.
Sawaya is known for his abstract LEGO art pieces, which he painstakingly assembles from thousands upon thousands of tiny LEGO bricks (almost always the basic rectangular variety — Sawaya rarely uses irregularly-shaped bricks). Is it LEGO sculpture? Is it art? That’s for you to decide.
One thing’s certain: Sawaya’s work never fails to amaze.
